A multi disciplinary Jobs Fair pioneered & organized on 23rd &24th October by Assocham & Delhi Business School (DBS) at DBS-Delhi Campus.

Jobs Fair at DBS witnessed an overwhelming response from job seekers and about 30 companies across Delhi /NCR on its inaugural day. More than 1000 candidates registered on the first day itself in the first session & second day being Saturday and the message across the NCR region regarding Grand Success of the Job Fair may likely to attract 2000 youngsters.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. B K Sabharwal (C.E.O. of ISF Securities Ltd., Chairman of association of National Exchange Members of India-Northern Region (ANMI), All India Director of association of National Exchanges Members of India, Director on the Governing Board of Delhi Stock Exchange.).Traditional Lamp lighting was carried out by Mr.Sabharwal , Ms.Divya Rajput Director and Setuma Rawal –Head academics, Mr.D.C.Parakh V.P.Corporate Resources The inauguration ceremony was followed by brief corporate presentations of individual companies M/S Karvy Stock Broking Ltd., M/S Lohia Auto Ltd., M/S Manpower Cellstrat, Reliance Money, ING Vaishya, bonanza Portfolio Ltd, Lohia Auto Industries/S ITSL Technologies followed by interaction with the audience and candidates. More registrations flowed in after the interviews started and word spread around other Business School across the National Capital Region.

Participating companies span across industries including ITES,IT, Education, Financial sector and public sector. Commenting on the job fair, Mr.P.C.Mishra-----from-Lohia Auto Industries -company observed “The fair was a very well coordinated and organized affair. The behavior of organizers was very warm. Our association with Delhi Business School will go well into the future.”Mr.Barua from Bonanza commented “It was a great experience in Delhi Business School who dared to go beyond the boundaries by inviting the students from 120 odd B-School.

The young generation job seekers were also very enthusiastic. Opportunities were open for job seekers of varied backgrounds like Engineering, IT, Marketing, Finance, HR, etc .By the end of the day more than 100 candidates had a job offer in hand and around the same number expected confirmations by tomorrow. It was a great experience to see so many big companies hiring students under the same roof during economic revival after a lull of more than a year in the Job Market.
